Biology
Biologists engage in meeting the challenges of the future, helping to improve the quality of human life and preserving our world’s biodiversity. The biology courses at Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ provide students with the breadth and depth of knowledge necessary to more fully understand the living world. Areas of study range from the microscopic world of cellular biology, to the complexities of a multicellular organism, to the networks of living things in ecosystems around the world.
Biology Degree Options
Associate in Biology DTA/MRP
- Program Length: Two years for full-time students. (Full-time is 12 credits or more)
- Costs per year: $4,914 tuition and fees
Career
Associate degrees in biology can be applied to a variety of career and degree paths moving forward. This degree will transfer directly into further studies in general biology, biochemistry, genetics, microbiology, evolution and ecology, environmental science, oceanography, and other life-sciences. The skills obtained can also be immediately applicable to employment as a laboratory technician in such areas as medical research, manufacturing, or environmental testing and conservation biology.

After Highline College
The AS-T Track 1 and DTA/MRP degrees is best used to transfer to a 4-year college or university.
